In Rhodes you have many choices for your stay. From good simple hotels and guesthouses to luxury five star complexes. There is a range of accommodation available in Rhodes and generally in Greece to suit every taste and pocket. During July and August, accommodation owners will charge the maximum price, but in spring and autumn, prices will drop by up to 20%, and perhaps by even more in winter.

Camping

There are only five official camping grounds in the Dodecanese and all are privately run. Very fiew are open outside the high season (April to October) Camping fees are highest from 15 June to the end of August. Between May and mid September ii is warm enough to sleep out under the stars, although you will still need a lightweight sleeping bang to counter the pre-dawn chill. Freelance (wild) camping is illegal, but the law is not always strictly enforced. It is more likely to be tolerant on islands that don't have camp sites, but its wise to ask around before freelance camping anywhere in Greece.

Apartments & Studios

Self contained family apartments and studios are available in all over the island. Prices vary considerably according to the amenities offered. There are as well a big number of purpose build apartments available for either long or short-term rental. This type of accommodation is pitched squarely at the family market, or at groups of two three or more people travelling together and is by far the best deal if you can all share the costs and cater for yourselves. Most of apartments are open only between April and October.

Villas - Guest houses - Private houses

Very similar to Apartments & studios self catering type of accommodation but more spacius, private concerning location and more luxurious. Generally you will be impressed by the level of service. They are suitable from 2 to 4 even sometimes to 9 people.
