Kolymbia | Rhodes Island Greece.

Kolymbia is only 5 Km distance from Afandou and 7 km from the popular area of seven springs (Epta Piges) a place much worth to visit with floating waters and a wonderfull restaurant under trees. Kolymbia started to develop as a tourist resort only a few years ago.

Many hotels are build recently and more are under construction ready to open for the new season.  Kolymbia resort still needs some small attention and improvement from local authority and entrepreneurs and its a very promising resort and holiday destination for the next years.

The resort's bars, restaurants and tavernas are all located within a one kilometre radius. A picturesque place between mountain and sea, a sun-lighted spot with a super beach for swimming and watersports. The pebbly beach of Kolymbia is situated at a distance of some 24 kilometers southern to the town of Rhodes, within a small cove.

Kolymbia holidays are ideal for young and old alike, although if you are looking for busy nightlife, this is not the place for you.

The local resort of Kolymbia used to be a small fishing village, and still retains some of that charm. Kolymbia was renamed San Benedetto during the Italian period and an agricultural settlement was created where Italian immigrants were settled.

Italians builded a fantastic Water Infrastructure Network coming from seven springs (Epta piges) for agricultural purposes. Visitors can see some water floating on the right side of the eucalyptus road, entering Kolymbia from Rhodos Lindou Street.
